On Sunday, July 7th, our beloved Pastor, Father Francis, had the joyous opportunity to welcome a cherished childhood friend, Bishop Denis Isizoh, who serves in the Diocese of Aguileri. This reunion was particularly special as Father Francis and Bishop Isizoh have shared a lifelong friendship that dates back to their early days, filled with shared experiences and spiritual growth. Bishop Isizoh, currently on a pilgrimage trip from Nigeria, took the time to reconnect with Father Francis, reflecting on their intertwined paths of faith and service. Bishop Isizoh holds a significant place in Father Francis's heart, as he was once an altar server under Father Francis's guidance during his formative years. Their bond was further strengthened by the fact that Father Francis and his father were contemporaries in the teaching profession before Father Francis became a priest, creating a foundation of mutual respect and camaraderie that has lasted through the years. This connection is deeply rooted in their shared commitment to education and faith, which has shaped both of their vocations. During his visit, they celebrated Monday Mass together, a beautiful occasion that allowed the congregation to witness the deep respect and affection they have for one another. As is customary every Monday, following the Mass, they proceeded to the Saint Jude novena, a time-honored tradition that brings the community together in prayer and reflection. The ceremony was not only a spiritual gathering but also a heartwarming reunion, filled with laughter, memories, and the joy of rekindled friendships. The atmosphere was charged with warmth and camaraderie, as old friends and fellow servers in Christ came together to celebrate their shared faith and experiences. This encounter served as a poignant reminder of the importance of community and the bonds that form through shared spiritual journeys. It was a day marked by gratitude, nostalgia, and the reaffirmation of their commitment to serving God and their communities, illustrating the profound impact of lifelong friendships nurtured in faith.
