FORTMANN – DELLORTO – MCGOWAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND - 2010 - 2011
I am happy to announce that this Easter our Parish will award tuition assistance to qualified members of our parish. Application Forms are obtainable from the parish office and printable copies may be accessed here. Completed application Forms should be addressed to: The Chairperson, St. Henry Church, 1500 South Andrews Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 and submitted or mailed to our office. Letters of reference from school officials could be submitted by e-mail via the pastor’s address: pastor@sainthenrys.org.
ST. HENRY PARISH STUDENT TUITION ASSISTANCE 2007-2008 (Fortmann – Dellorto – McGowan Scholarship Fund)
Annually our parish gives tuition financial assistance to members of our parish who qualify. Again this year we hope to make awards around Thanksgiving Holiday. New Application Forms are now available in the parish office. Those who want to apply may call the parish office for more information or stop over and pick up a copy. Previous Application Forms have been replaced as of August 15, 2007. Anyone who had taken the now outdated Form should ask for and obtain a new application form. Application will remain open from August 15, 2007 thru October 15, 2007.
The new application form is for children in elementary and secondary schools; people in colleges and universities. This could include some adults.
Respecting the intentions of the Donors of the Scholarship Fund, only active members of St. Henry Parish are eligible for the award. An active member is one registered in the parish and participates in the life of the parish, at least, by frequent physical presence at the Liturgical celebrations. Use of the parish envelope, regardless of the amount enclosed, is the best way to register one’s presence at the gathering. For students in distant schools who are not able to attend most of the time, their families’ participation suffices.
St. Henry Scholarship Board will meet after October 15, 2010 and review the applications received. Applications that arrive after that date will be discarded. If there is need to see the applicants or students, these will be invited for an interview.
